After entering a guilty plea to second degree kidnapping, I.C. § 18-4501(1) and admitting to being a persistent violator as defined in I.C. § 19-2514, Rick Lopez was sentenced on September 14, 1981, to an indeterminate term of fifteen (15) years imprisonment on the kidnapping charge and a separate life term of imprisonment for being a persistent violator.
